Based on you explores the risks of personalised and recommendation-based algorithms in human activity and the associated loss of individual control. The project reflects on how algorithmic systems influence perception, decision-making, and opinion formation.
On the left side of the website, the risks of personalization algorithms are presented. On the right side, there is a brief explanation of how recommendation algorithms work, presented in the form of suggestions.
Ideas of surveillance and digital memory are evoked through the persistent trace of the cursor left across the website. The user is immersed in an overwhelming experience that mirrors algorithmic suggestion and control, encouraging critical reflection on how personalised systems shape preferences and limit autonomy.
